I love mail, and it would be really great to hear from everyone!
For anyone who would like to send me something, there are a few things to keep in mind. Mail between Morocco and the U.S. typically takes about two weeks to travel. Word on the street is that packages arriving in Morocco must pass through the nimble fingers of customs officers who have a taste for goodies from abroad. Also, customs duties are often charged for new or valuable items. One suggestion I’ve heard is to claim DVDs as “visual aid materials” or something similarly vague and uninteresting. Books and clothes should always be listed as used. On the plus side, the person who had my post box before me said she was never charged any duties fees at all. Pretty cool! Anyway, those are just a few things to think about in case you want to send some American happiness my way!

Marj, the blog is great! keep up the good work!

Dear Marj,
thank you for your kindness in helping Jess blogg. She tends to get too busy doing other things than keeping up her blog. We love your site and photo’s and have shared it with many friends. So happy you two N.C. girls are there for one another. Looking forward to meeting you in the future. Sincerely, Gloria Falkner (Foddy’s mom!)

Hey Marj! My dad sent me your link. Holy Cow! I am jealous of your experiences- I also think you should know that my favorite animal is the donkey…that may change if I ever spend extended time in Morocco, however, I did enjoy the donkey sounds on your page. Is there anything in particular you like to eat that I could send you? I used to send my mom American candy when they were in England. Do they have Peanut Butter over there- I would not survive without it. Maybe you don’t want any food at all, but let me know- I’d be happy to send you something.
I have a ton of questions, but will maybe send you an email so you can answer slowly if you want. I hope you are well and I am thinking about you!
Love, Jenny
