Third Year, here I come!

As I was walking back into town this afternoon after a busy morning of traveling around with the “equipe mobile” (mobile team of nurses), I got a surprise phone call from my boss…
After he asked if I was running because I was panting, and I told him no, I was just walking back into town (always rather quickly, I’m not sure why), he asked if I had gotten my big boss’s email from this morning.
When I said no, he said “Well, your request for a third year has been approved.”
“No way! Really?!” I said, to which he asked, “What do you mean, really? You didn’t really want to extend?”
And I quickly replied, “No, no! I thought it would take longer than that, like an interview or something…” But I guess my essay outlining why I want to stay and what work I plan on doing convinced them to keep me. Awesome!!
Anyway, I don’t want to sit on the computer tonight so I won’t write more now, but I wanted to record my good news. I’m so excited!
